Twin terror attacks in Jerusalem Friday; Armed terrorists stab IDF border policewoman who succumbed to injuries; BBC publishes misleading news report, failing to report of terror then later apologizes for article
The BBC published a misleading news piece covering the twin terror attacks that took place in Jerusalem Friday night.
Three terrorists armed with guns and knives carried out the twin attack in Jerusalem on Friday, the terrorists stabbing IDF Border Policewoman Hadas Malka, Malka dying from her wounds a few hours later.
The terrorists were shot and killed by Israeli security forces.
The BBC reported the attack with the title “Three Palestinians killed after deadly stabbing in Jerusalem,” with no mention of Malka. After numerous criticism of the report, the BBC later apologized stating “We accept that the original title did not adequately reflect the events and was later changed. Although there was no intention of misleading the readers, we apologize for the damage caused.”
The news piece does not mention terror, terrorists or a terror attack, but refers to the incident as “deadly stabbing”. The BBC commonly reports on terror attacks in Israel by highlighting the injured or deaths of Palestinians, rarely reporting incidents as terror attacks.
