IDF responds to rocket fire with airstrike on Hamas military compound

Rocket fired from Gaza Strip into Israel Sunday night; Israeli Air Force retaliates

The Israeli Air Force carried out airstrikes on a Hamas military compound early Monday in retaliation after a rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel on Sunday evening.


IDF Spokesman Peter Lerner confirmed that the IDF “In response last nights rocket attack, IAF aircrafts targeted a Hamas military training facility in the central Gaza Strip.”

According to Palestinian media, Hamas facilities near Khan Younis were hit in the airstrike.


There were no injuries or damages from Sunday’s rocket attack.
