Israel’s Tamar gas field sign $1.2 billion deal with Egyptian private firm

70 year deal signed with Egyptian private firm, Tamar to provide 5 billion cubic meters of gas


Private investors from Egypt have agreed to purchase over $1.2 billion in natural gas from Israel’s Tamar field.

The deal entails a minimum of 5 billion cubic meters of gas for partners of the Dolphinus Holdings firm. Tamar field stated on Wednesday that a 70 year deal was signed with the firm.

The gas will be supplied through an underwater pipeline from Israel into Egypt.
